korte animatiefilm

Haha! April fool's day has been working for you. I don't think you find it a jolly idea that the leopard is wearing bones, as most vertabrates do so. Did your translation engine try to translate this?: "Ik vind het leuk. Grappig idee, dat de panter laarzen aanheeft." If so, these things are less poetic by the day.

    Cheers!

    Caught!!
So 'botten' is not the same like 'Stiefel'?
For me it looks as if the leopard is wearing boots (on his hind legs).

Phew! Sometimes one does run ... well, at least I am running the risk of making a fool of myself.

Anyway, Bertus, I take this as just another evidence that any language can't be properly learned by books (or online-dictionaries), but only by talking; by practising, by making mistakes and (patiently) being corrected.

    Botten = bones.
Bottines = an old fashioned (French) word for boots.
Bottes = a non existing word.
    Laarzen (1 laars) = boots.

Indeed the leopard is wearing boots.

    As for your grammar:
    " dat jij laarzen aanhebt"
    " dat hij laarzen aanheeft"
    " het jolige idee"
    " een jolig idee"
    " jolig idee".

Good grief, i thought German grammar was difficult....

We say bottes en français. But the translation of the poem is not very inspiring. I guess we learn a language well only by immersion. Living with the people...
